Do you see newborns in the hospital?

ZOOMIES Pediatrics does not currently participate in newborn rounding. However, Dr. Nguyen is always happy to visit her newest patients in their nursery. Dr. Nguyen will see your first newborn visit after the hospital discharge in the safety and comfort of your home.
What if my child gets sick when we are out of town?

Because of the small patient panel, Dr. Nguyen knows your child's medical history well. If medically appropriate, Dr. Nguyen uses telehealth to evaluate, advise, and able to send prescriptions to the local pharmacy near you.

If my child is admitted to the hospital, will Dr. Nguyen care for them?

Children who need admission to the hospital will be under the care of hospital-based pediatricians. Although Dr. Nguyen does not participate in hospital admission or rounding, she will work closely with the inpatient team to optimize the care your child receives while hospitalized.
What is your position on vaccines?

We are advocates of vaccines, and we feel strongly that the recommended schedule based on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is one of the most important preventative care measures in childhood. Dr. Nguyen is always happy and willing to answer specific questions regarding vaccines that you may have.
What about expectant parents?

ZOOMIES Pediatrics provides a complimentary Meet and Greet with Dr. Nguyen to discuss the upcoming arrival of your newest family member.
What services are not covered by membership?

Membership does not cover vaccines. Any out-of-office procedures, labs, or medical services from other medical providers, such as specialists or consults, are not covered under membership. Instead, these services use the patient’s insurance. ER visits and inpatient hospitalizations are not covered in membership and are billed separately by those entities.
For those without insurance, Dr. Nguyen will do her best to help you with discounted labs or medication through her relationship with local labs and medical suppliers.
Can I cancel my membership and re-enroll?

Zoomies Pediatrics provides relationship-based care, Dr. Nguyen is only able to accept a certain number of patients at a time to ensure quality of care for all her members. Patients can stop their membership anytime as per their patient agreement. However, if a patient wishes to re-enroll, they are subjected to an re-enrollment fee if approved and if space allows.
